The Problem

Why RF Path?

RF engineers need accurate terrain-aware analysis

Planning wireless links without accounting for terrain, curvature, and Fresnel zones leads to failed deployments.

Microwave links, Wi-Fi backhauls, and LOS radio links all depend on clear line-of-sight and sufficient Fresnel zone clearance. Traditional tools are either too complex, too expensive, or don't account for real-world terrain data.

RF Path was built to solve this. Using the industry-standard Longley-Rice (ITM) propagation model, it delivers professional-grade analysis on your Android device — anywhere in the field.

Overview

What is RF Path?

Point-to-Point Link Evaluation

A professional RF analysis tool that delivers accurate path loss and link feasibility predictions for wireless network planning.

RF Path uses map-based TX/RX selection to evaluate point-to-point links with high-resolution terrain data. It computes geometric LOS, Earth-curvature LOS with adjustable k-factor, Fresnel zone clearance, and minimum obstruction clearance.

The app generates quick zoomable charts with terrain profiling, LOS, and Fresnel zone visualizations. Results include EIRP, RSSI, SNR, and link margin calculations with clear pass/warning/fail indicators.

How It Works

Three-Step Workflow

1

Select Points

Use the map interface to select transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) locations. Set frequency, antenna heights, and other link parameters.

2

Analyze Path

The app computes terrain profiling, LOS analysis, Fresnel zone clearance, and path loss using the Longley-Rice model. View results with zoomable charts.

3

Export Results

Generate a PDF report with all analysis data, share plot images, or save results for documentation and stakeholder review.
